Reno Tahoe is pleased to announce that Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak is easing restrictions related to conventions, trade shows, group travel and sports events. The Silver State has upheld some of the strongest safety restrictions since our Governor shut down gaming and major hotels in mid-March. Since June, protocols have been eased gradually, as Governor Sisolak has deferred to the opinions of health professionals within Nevada, as well as the federal government.

Groups of up to 250 people may now gather collectively, with a max capacity of 1,000 people within the meeting space. Outlined health and safety protocols must be met, including group size limitations within the meeting space, social distancing and the use of protective masks. Larger event venues containing a fixed seating capacity in excess of 2,500, can now fill up to 10%, creating the possibility of expanded speaker sessions and live entertainment.

Most importantly, Governor Sisolak indicated that Nevada is on a positive trend, following the aggressive actions taken to slow the spread of coronavirus throughout the state. He also alluded to the future, imminent loosening of restrictions so long as the current trends of declining test positivity continue. This is promising news for groups planning future events within the next six-to-eighteen months.
